In a street close to the splendid Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano (or the cathedral of Rome), there is a workshop that knows about colors and works in progress, ideas always in circulation, projects in progress. This place is Onorio Laboratorio Deco. In this workshop, every object, from the wardrobe to the table, from the chair to the old sideboard, and where the imagination arrives, changes its use, looks, transforms, reborns and revives.

To make all this possible are two young women: Roberta Ravoni and Federica Fiorenza.

Federica Fiorenza has been involved in interior decoration since she was a child; she graduated in literature with a historical and artistic background, she graduated from the Academy of Ornamental Arts and Interior Architecture. Since 2002 she has started an apprenticeship course and her teacher was the decorator Francesca Maffucci, with whom she currently collaborates. She also specialized at the CEFME Institute of Pomezia in Interior Decoration and Trompe l'oeil. She worked in various scenography workshops as a decorator and collaborated regularly with the theater company SemiVolanti as set designer. The meeting with the fabrics and furniture, led her to sew bags and to undertake the professional training of tailoring at the Maria Maiani High Fashion School.

A narrow environment, or a challenging door, can be canceled if painted with a trompe l'oeil: a design that deceives the eye by suggesting a perspective, a landscape, a window that tells what is there or what we want was beyond the architectural limits.

An old grandmother's furniture, dark and sad, a little démodé, can be revisited in a modern way, with bright colors, or with particular designs, with glazes, or gold leaf (or silver or copper), or it can be decorated in a way to recall elements of furniture already present in the environment to which it will be destined. You can also choose to decorate not the walls, but the doors of a house or ceilings or a built-in wardrobe, the possibilities are endless.

A separate chapter is dedicated to the decoration of children's rooms. The right color on the walls can help to rebalance the mood and relax the character. Moreover they can be personalized with the drawings of the favorite characters or with original figures. You can make stylized drawings or even repaint old bedrooms, starting with furniture items (wardrobes, beds, desks, chairs) with colors that have gone out of fashion.

At Onorio Laboratorio Deco it is worthwhile entering and being advised to find creative and unexpected solutions to give a special touch to your home.
