The world is rich in materials that can be subjected to special processes, and then become magnificent objects. One of the most used is certainly the clay, a sediment composed of small granules that, together with other substances, can completely transform itself into a real object.
It is from this sediment that the art of ceramics was born, a material with an ancient history and different types of uses. K.ariLò is a workshop that produces mainly ceramics, but also favors and furnishing accessories run by Arianna Lorenzon. Graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone, she lives and works in Pontinia in her pottery workshop.
Working with the pottery is undoubtedly a way to express one's personality and creativity and to shape something beautiful with one's own hands. The art of ceramics is really for everyone: it is often brought to schools, both primary and secondary, as modeling clay is not only able to stimulate creativity, but also reveals itself as an excellent "therapy", able to relieve stress and promote general psychophysical wellbeing.
In short, the art of pottery has a long history that continues year after year and each of us can do him/her best to make it unique. Since 2006 Arianna Lorenzon has been organizing basic courses in drawing, painting, ceramics and papier-mâché for the disabled children of the "La Rete" Volunteer Association in Pontinia and, since 2008, courses in ceramics and painting in her workshop.
There is so much joy in the K.Arilò Laboratory: among artistically worked ceramics, characters that seem to belong to the world of fairy tales, lamps, favors, candle holders and other accessories, the owl smiles.
