Perali’s goldsmith tradition has been handed over from father to son for three generations. In 1907 Carlo started his watchmaking and goldsmith workshop, while training young apprentices. In 1945 Paolo joined his father Carlo at the jewellery shop in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
In 1965, after his father Carlo passed away, Paolo integrated his main watchmaking business with a goldsmith workshop. In the 1980s Cristiana joined her father Paolo at the goldsmith workshop, showing great creativity working with jewels, gemstones and especially pearls.
In 1993 Cristiana Perali opened a new shop at Piazza Rondanini in Rome, as her activity focussed on goldsmith creations. Cristiana, who constitutes the third generation at this historic Roman jewellery shop, brought her creations to museums and fine jewellery exhibitions both in Rome and worldwide.
Her collections have been featured on haute couture catwalks in Rome, Beijing, Shanghai, Chicago, New York, St Petersburg and Mexico City. The uniqueness of each jewel stems from thorough learning and research. The selection of materials, stones and pearls, and their harmonious combination, make Cristiana Perali’s jewellery unique and exclusive.
Any jewel that has not been created yet constitutes a challenge and a drive to explore new possibilities.
