An exhibition on Mickey Mouse
It was November 18, 1928, when Walt Disney presented Mickey Mouse to the public of the New York Colony Theater, his most famous creature famous first at cinema and then on paper. The first of many series is dated January 13, 1930, when Mickey made his debut on the New York Mirror.
Casa del Cinema celebrates the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse with a narrative path of photos, posters and images of the famous pop icon that made laugh and dream young and old people from all over the world.
A review that anticipates the most prestigious pieces that will be exhibited in Desenzano del Garda in a major exhibition. The public will be able to admire the brilliant cinematographic career of Mickey Mouse since its beginnings, in black and white, to date through photos, posters, images and its interpretations such as Mickey and Minnie in: Casablanca, La strada and Metropolis.
The route, curated by the Disney expert Federico Fiecconi, which can be visited free of charge, is part of a preview of the great Mickey 90 exhibition - The Art of a Dream that will be set up, with the original works, in the castle of Desenzano Del Garda from Saturday 10 November 2018 to Sunday 10 February 2019.
The exhibition has more than 300 pieces from collections, important private collections around the world and from the archives of Disney, which trace the story of Mickey Mouse from the debut of 1928 to today. And it is officially included in the initiatives that The Walt Disney Company Italy is organizing to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, such as the recent company at Lucca Comics & Games, starring the Disney artist Claudio Sciarrone who established the Guinness World Record designing the strip in the world's longest comics (300 meters) by a single artist.
