A new Lazio
From art to design, from design to art: the Castle of Santa Severa, just outside Rome, will host the opening of "A New Lazio", an unprecedented exhibition inaugurated on 13 December 2018 at 11:00 am by the Councilor Giampaolo Manzella. The exhibion is dedicated to objects made by designers and producers who will propose objects inspired by monuments, paintings and sculptures, landscape and history of the Etruscan period, revisited according to their own free interpretation.
The exhibition, which will be held until 6th January 2019 at the Pyrgi Hall of the Castle is Santa Severa, is organized by Regione Lazio and HOMI, the Salone dei Styles of Life of Fiera Milano, in collaboration with LAZIOcrea, Mibac, Santa Marinella Municipality and Coopculture .
Born as an exhibition event of HOMI - the Salone degli Stili dedicated to design proposals for the home and the person of Fiera Milano - the experimental laboratory of La Magnifica Forma develops around the theme of the comparison between design and artisan craftsmanship , through unpublished creations of companies in the Italian territories belonging to SMEs, Crafts and Start Up.
The protagonists of the event, which will come to life at the Castle of Santa Severa, recently renovated by the Lazio Region and offered to the national and international public, will be specific to the territory of Lazio and its productions, presented in an evocative and enveloping setting, which will marry with the solemn environments of this prestigious location and dedicated to the excellent products of the Etruscan part of Lazio.
Over thirty exhibitors belonging to high craftsmanship, SMEs and new start ups, present a showcase of "special" objects inspired by the territory and its historical artistic richness, made in perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
Conceived and curated by the architect Anna Del Gatto, La Magnifica Forma represents a path in the forms of beauty, made of stories and history, a portrait built from original ideas, which recount a style of Italian living.
