Raccontiamo il Museo
The National Roman Museum, in collaboration with ADI (Association of Italianists) and ADI SD (Association of Italianists, Educational Section), launced the contest Raccontiamo il Museo, aimed at students in the Lazio Region.
The competition invites students to elaborate a narrative on cultural heritage, in written form and / or in other communicative and expressive forms chosen among drawing, graphics, comics, photography, painting, sculpture, video, ppt etc .. Contributions may be inspired by historical and / or imaginary events and may represent real or fantastic settings, with particular reference to the National Roman Museum in its four locations: Palazzo Altemps, Palazzo Massimo, Terme di Diocleziano, Crypta Balbi. In order to make the competition a real educational and cultural opportunity, schools are invited to carry out interdisciplinary study, training, research, with laboratory activities, paying particular attention to the reading of literary and non-literary texts and writing to increase the knowledge of the cultural heritage in its broadest sense and the reasons for its protection and enhancement, inserting the competition itself and the related activities in the three-year Training Offer Plan. The Educational Service of the National Roman Museum, in collaboration with Coopculture, will organize free guided tours for participating schools wishing to use them. With the aim of promoting education to cultural heritage, the competition also aims to; enhance students 'creativity, promote knowledge of cultural heritage through students' personal experiences to internalize it and make it their own, foster teamwork and collaboration between students, even in different classes and schools, develop cooperation between schools and cultural institutions.
All the works will be on the site of the National Roman Museum and / or exhibited in an exhibition at one of the Museum's locations with a special section dedicated to the winners. All participating schools will be invited to a closing ceremony scheduled for spring 2019 in one of the four locations of the Museum; in addition, the drawings of each school must be sent by March 15, 2019, in a single envelope, to the attention of Dr. Sara Colantonio, at the National Roman Museum, Palazzo Altemps, competition We tell the Museum Via di S.
