The Apollo International Prize of Poetry and Contemporary Art "Dionysian Apollo" reaches the sixth edition for works in poetry and visual art, in painting, sculpture, graphics and photography, published or unpublished, by authors and artists of all ages, education and nationality.
The Award, organized by the International Academy of Poetry and Contemporary Art of Rome under the Convention on Formation with the University of Roma Tre, is divided into two categories. Poems Space: for two poems of their own creation, with a free theme, published or unpublished, each not exceeding thirty-six lines. Poems in a foreign language must have an Italian translation in front of them.
Visual Art Workspace: for two works of painting, or sculpture, or graphics, or photography, of own creation, with a free theme, of dimensions not exceeding 100x140cm. In the event of a qualification, the artist is required to exhibit the original at the awards ceremony. You can also participate in both category Spaces, in Poetry and Art, and / or with multiple pairs of works, adding the amount to be paid.
The award ceremony will be held on November 16th 2019, at the Salone del duCentral Castello della Castelluccia, Loc. La Castelluccia, Via Carlo Cavina, 40 in Rome.
The jury of the prize will award a First Prize, a Second Prize, a Third Prize: Golden Trophy, Silver Trophy and Burnished Silver Trophy Dionysian Apollo, original work by Marco Rocchi. Special Jury Awards and Merit Recognitions will also be awarded: Academy Award; Criticism of the work; free reading of the author for the poem or exhibition for the visual artwork in the ceremony and publication of the winning work with Criticism on the sites of the Academy in the standings and in the Anthology of Contemporary Poetry online or in the Exhibition of Contemporary Art online, for all category spaces.
DEADLINES AND METHODS OF PARTICIPATION
The copies or images of the works and the documentation required in the Announcement must be sent no later than 7 June 2019, to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org. The participation fee for each section is 15 euros (as a contribution to expenses). The registration fees will contribute to the Integr'Azione Exhibition of the disabled children of the Don Orione Center, of the Don Calabria Opera, of the Don Guanella, of the Sant’Egidio, of the Leonarda Vaccari Institute and to the Robert Cook Exhibition of primary school children.
