The Ideal City
The Cinema Foundation for Rome and Rome City of Film Unesco organizes and promotes an international short film competition with the aim of accompanying the preparation of the XIII Annual Meeting of the Creative Cities, hosted from 10 to 16 June 2019 by Fabriano Creative City UNESCO for Craftsmanship and Popular arts.
The international call for proposals includes the presentation of short films (maximum duration 15 ') relating to fiction and documentary genres, aimed at professionals and film schools. The theme they will have to deal with is The Ideal City, developing audio-visual works that can tell the idea of an ideal contemporary city narrated through one or more themes chosen from: the sustainable city; the cosmopolitan city; the ubiquitous and multiple city; the city of citizens; the city of knowledge; the city stage; the city that creates; the city he undertakes.
Works from every country in the world, including those not belonging to the 72 countries that make up the UCCN network, can participate. A selection committee that will report to the Cinema for Rome Foundation formed by cinema experts, as well as representatives of the Italian UCCN Coordination, will choose the two best works to present to the public. The two best works will be screened in the pavilion of the Film cluster in Fabriano and will be presented and projected in the days of the Annual Meeting 2019 to the UCCN delegates as a side event, with the presence and testimonies of the directors and performers.
The best short film will receive a prize worth € 1000.00 (one thousand / 00) awarded by Fabriano Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art. The deadline for entries, to be posted on the dedicated website, is Friday 15 March 2019.
