VAN GOGH ALIVE in Rome
"The sunflower is mine in a way" ... And after that, in a sense, it belongs to all of us.
"The best way to love life is to love many things" ... And judging by his paintings, he loved the world.
The soul of Van Gogh, the tormented and passionate artist who creates beauty with his unmistakable, rapid brushstrokes, lives again in this world-acclaimed exhibition that finally has been set up in Rome.
Van Gogh Alive - The Experience is not only a multimedia exhibition: it is a multi-sensory exhibition where the viewer can immerse himself in the emotional world of the famous Dutch painter considered the precursor of Expressionism, and who imprints on the canvas his irrepressible emotions fluctuating, driven by an overwhelming inner need to convey an image of his own perception of the world.
Palazzo degli Esami in Trastevere, re-opens after decades its doors to the public and is the perfect location to host the exhibion with its wide halls.
"The visitor - explains Rob Kirk, curator of the exhibition - integrates himself with the 3,000 images and the walls, columns, ceilings and floors that move thanks to an innovative video technology. It is a unique multimedia system, developed by Grande Exhibitions, harmonizing multi-channel motion graphics, high quality surround sound, with more than 40 high-definition projectors to provide detailed images and details in the foreground. "
The exhibition, produced by Grande Exhibitions and Ninetynine, was built under the patronage of MIBACT and the Office of the City Cultural Growth.
