A call for the Testaccio slaughterhouse
The Galleria della Vasche de La Pelanda at the former Mattatoio opens to young people with a public announcement to advance an expression of interest to the presentation of project proposals to be carried out in the Testaccio space. A multipurpose public center with stage, lighting system and exhibition facilities at no cost for the ideas and quality work of young Roman and non, identified by the Capitoline administration as a place for the exploitation of productions and initiatives made by young people who have difficulties to find suitable places for their expressiveness. The space that will be made available for the activities is a room of 800 square meters and five atelier of about 30 square meters each that currently includes: a stage, a theater lighting system, a sound system and sound system, a system of videoprojection, a series of self-supporting panels for the exhibition areas.
The proposals must be completed by December 31, 2018 and include events, exhibitions, performances, expressive activities, workshop activities, seminars, workshops and should be addressed, in particular, to a young audience. The time duration, including set-up and dismantling, can not exceed fifteen days and must respect the historical-architectural character of the place. All the initiatives must be free admission and ticketing is not allowed inside the Galleria delle Vasche, nor the sale of catalogs or other material.
