Transits. Images from the South of the World
From 12 October to 14 December, Viterbo hosts the XXIII edition of Transiti Images from the South of the World, a review realized with the contribution of the Youth and Culture Policy Department of the Lazio Region, thanks to the 2017 call for the promotion and enhancement of the au- diovisivo.
The theme, for this reason, is the Journey, a theme not chosen at random, since this year was indicated by the UN as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.
Consistently with the theme of the Journey, Images from the South of the World take place in several venues of Viterbo, in the cinema room of Cinema Trento, in the former faculty of Agraria of the University of Tuscia (DAFNE Department), ARCI circles in Viterbo and in some places of the Bio - District of Via Amerina and Forre, ARCI Solidarity Viterbo Onlus and the Circondary House of Viterbo.
The screenings are weekly and include meeting with directors and actors. To open the show was "I Am Not Your Negro" by R. Peck, winner at the Berlin Film Festival as best documentary and nominated for the Oscars 2017. On November 9, "Ramzi Ben Sliman" project will be screened "Ma Revolution" in spring Arab.
Many participating countries with films from: Italy, Palestine, Israel, Senegal, Morocco, Sudan, Rwanda, France, Tunisia, Switzerland.
In addition, a documentary-oriented audiovisual production workshop for 5 asylum seekers living in the city of Viterbo and 5 students at the University of Tuscia will be in the workshops.
The documentary will be participatory and with the aim of telling a place; the San Faustino district.
