TECNOPOLO CASTEL ROMANO
The Tecnopolo of Castel Romano is the largest laboratory center of the I.S.P.R.A.-Superior Institute for Environmental Protection and Research. Unique structure on the national territory, with its 5,000 square meters and 98 staff units, it was created with the aim of creating synergies and interactions between research and experimentation, promoting the harmonization of methods and procedures for monitoring and environmental control.
Inside the structure there are the Materials Development Center, one of the most important European centers of applied research in the sector of materials and related technologies, the Environmental Metrology Laboratories of the I.S.P.R.A. and other operating entities in the Biotechnology, Energy and Environment, ICT and Cultural Heritage sectors.
Tecnopolo's sectors of excellence focus on three macro areas: New Materials and Advanced Manufacturing, Health and Life Sciences and Environment and Green Economy. These are the areas of intervention of the Castel Romano Technopole which currently houses the Materials Development Center, numerous laboratories of the ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) and various entrepreneurial realities operating in the life sciences field. .
Without forgetting the process of enhancing the entire real estate assets, aimed at setting up and developing innovative activities conducted by sector companies, start-ups and spin-offs in the field of biotechnology, renewable energy and materials science.
