Studa: a new project by Nine
Stüda (the name is a mash-up of the LEGO® generator element - the STUD - ironically "translated" into Swedish) was born in 2015 thanks to the joint work of the NINE team. Founded by Paolo Emilio Bellisario, Emilia Caffo and Matteo Di Sora, NINE is a multidisciplinary study specializing in interior design, retail identity and product design.
NINE was born from the desire to bring together, within a complementary architecture, knowledge and professionalism, elaboration of multilayer designs needed to work through the indefinite boundaries of architecture, art and contemporary design. The main goal is to offer AFOL and their children a modular system of fully textured textured furnishings, no longer as a result of hacking and DIY plug-ins.
A pure volume, created by working numerically controlled Corian, characterized by a continuous textured surface compatible with LEGO blocks, which thanks to the bricks can continuously change shape and color over time, the materials used for the structure are wood paneling, coating in Corian Du Point, with a burnished iron base, if required, 3 modules with different sizes available.
In the everyday, texture lets you leave creative messages or creating the complement we need (jars, frames, empty pockets, etc.). Parents can allow their children to decorate the home, and young couples can invite their friends to customize their furnishings socially. Less creative people can use apps like LEGO Photo to customize Stüda with paintings or bricks made of bricks. The three dimensions of the modules and the different colors allow you to create endless, both free-standing and wall-to-wall combinations.
