Startupper School Academy
Education is a key element in every person's life and experience shows how people formed on issues related to "doing business" and entrepreneurship in general have a greater chance not only to find a job, but also to run their own business.
The emergence of new businesses is crucial to creating jobs and training certainly contributes to creating innovative startups and generating wealth. It is with this spirit that BIC Lazio has launched the Startupper School Academy, a program designed to stimulate the propensity to do business by the Lazio students of higher education.
This activity, in addition to achieving full respect, is conducive to promoting entrepreneurship and creativity in the schools of the region, in order to increase knowledge and stimulate propensity to make entrepreneurship in schools. That is why BIC Lazio's training business promotes professional growth and business creation and development.
BIC Lazio, in line with the European Commission's guidelines, launched the Startupper School Academy Program. For this edition, about 329 students from 44 regional higher schools were involved - through workshops and tutoring - in business development activities and then presented their business models in teams.
The best business models of each territorial competition have met in the Spazio Attivo Roma Casilina, in a final where the students of the "Guglielmo Marconi" Institute of Civitavecchia (RM) have been awarded. The "Marconi" boys - awarded by the council member Fabiani, together with regional councilors Gian Paolo Manzella and Michele Baldi - have won with the project "The Walket": this is an interactive stick for blind people.
Guido Fabiani is very enthusiastic about this: "This award makes us understand how much innovation and social problems are connected and that pushes me to relaunch an idea already decided shortly ago: to open in Civitavecchia a Fablab for students and businesses."
