Born in 1998 from the passion of a group of very young creatives, Skylab Studios today boasts an ability to keep up with the times, very fast times in communication that, in this, does not really make any discounts. This ability to be always in step finds them ready and immediately reactive, when the combination of innovation-communication becomes inseparable. Skylab Studios uses this combination by focusing on tourist and cultural entertainment, specializing in interactive visual marketing.
Among the many projects carried out, we tell three.
Interactive signage. Like the road one, a tourist signage system is created with QR Code and NFC Chip technology. A light, quick and intuitive solution to make the entire cultural and artistic heritage more accessible by accessing information sheets on demand with interactive contents and services for tourists.
Interactive accessibility. Accessibility for people with different disabilities requires skills and modulated solutions to respond effectively and promptly to different needs. Not only physical, but also sensory disabilities, such as blindness and deafness. One of the tools created for tourism purposes are the Video LIS, or video guides for the deaf, made by professionals who speak sign language. Following the audio guides for the blind, with detailed audio tracks in a very punctual way to make the understanding of the invisible visible. And finally the Virtual Tours, virtual visits for the disabled, making accessible places with architectural barriers, breaking down physical barriers with the world of life.
The path of Francis. Funded by Regione Lazio, the project involves a journey through the 9 municipalities of the Cammino di Francesco: Rieti, Contigliano, Greccio, Colli sul Velino, Labro, Rivodutri, Poggio Bustone, Cantalice, Morro Reatino. An innovative project that offers numerous on demand multimedia services such as the web app in the cloud, usable via QR Code or NFC Chip present on tourist signs created for the municipalities of the Holy Valley. The path is totally accessible through Video LIS, Audioguides for the blind, Virtual Tour Virtual visits for the disabled.
