The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT), in collaboration with the Italian copyright collecting agency (SIAE), presented a proposal for young people and creativity. The initiative is called Sillumina 2016 and is aimed at supporting cultural promotion projects and cultural activities in urban suburbs, promoted by public and private authorities. The goal is to support initiatives that involve Italy-based young authors, artists, interpreters and performers under 35 in organizational and / or productive activities.
Five calls are planned for projects aimed at promoting culture and cultural activities in urban and cultural activities in the suburbs, aiming at the development of new works, artistic residencies and training, international promotion of young artists, translation of theater texts, books, songs and movies.
The project was born thanks to Minister Dario Franceschini's directive, pursuant to a provision of the law of stability for 2016, which provided for the distribution of 10% of the remuneration for private copying in activities encouraging creativity and promoting national and international youth culture. Submission is open to companies, organizations and associations that have a project supporting authors, performers and interpreters under 35. The project applications must be submitted by November 15, 2016.
To participate in the call, go on www.sillumina.it website, select the chosen announcement and download the forms for submitting the application form and the project proposal.
