The tradition of the Bartolozzi Family, concerning the working of the leather, originated from Giuseppe Bartolozzi - 1883 - who started at young age to carry out the activity of saddle in Bagnoregio (Viterbo) to meet the needs of local butts and mule grooms. In 1919, pushed by strong demand for work, Giuseppe moved to Tolfa (Rome) where he opened his own craft shop and continued leather processing.

With him his three sons - Antonio, Augusto and Valeriano - began to work, then they pursued their activities in different ways and in different places: Antonio opened his own studio and continued his activity independently; Augusto remained in the workshop with his father and Valeriano (father of Lamberto) had been hired as saddler at the Caserma dei Carabinieri a Cavallo "Pastrengo" in Rome.

Since 1981 Lamberto, after having learned the inestimable knowledge of this activity thanks to his father (dead in 1992) and his uncles, has been running this trade with constant passion and devotion while continuing to dedicate himself to leather handcraft processing.
