The Heimann Foundation offers a scholarship for young Italian writers in collaboration with the Das Wunderhorn publishing house in Heidelberg and the Eulenspiegel bookstore in Wiesloch. The duration of the grant is 3 months and goes from May to July 2019.

The scholarship holder will live in the Villa Paradeis in Wiesloch near Heidelberg. The offer is open to writers up to age 37 who are based in Italy. The author could be offered the opportunity that the literary work created during the stay is translated into German and published by the publishing house Das Wunderhorn.

In addition to his literary work, the three-month stay will give the author the opportunity to learn about the German literary scene and the cultural life of Germany and to present his work to the public in the Rhein-Neckar metropolitan region.

The Rhein-Neckar metropolitan region includes the cities of Heidelberg, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and the surrounding communities and is one of the leading regions for culture and economy in Germany.

Applications must be received by the Heimann Foundation exclusively by e-mail at info@heimann-stiftung.de by 2 pm on 31 December 2018, indicating the subject "Young Italian Writers Scholarship Application".
