What is a cultural salon? It is a meeting place, often a private one, where intellectuals or protagonists of worldly news gather periodically, to be discussed by an entertainer, to debate or converse on topics related to cultural or political current affairs.
The management of a living room can also be a way to influence the formation of public opinion and the policy of the State through the functions that "salottieri" perform in public life and the network of friendships or ideological convictions that are formed in places of receipt.
This was valid until a few decades ago. Now culture is born in unexpected places, ideas are born in unthinkable places, artists and intellectuals have taken to the streets and draw inspiration from what they see. Intellectuals no longer dictate trends, but to observe the world, people and be inspired by a rapidly changing reality.
Salotto Culturale was born in Gaeta, which perfectly understood this change, this reversal, creating a new model that travels on the net using new technologies and aims to spread culture in all its expressions, promoting the personalities and characters of the Riviera di Ulisse which in various ways approach the world of culture.
The project was born from an idea by Robert Rivera, the technical part is curated by the photo studio L’Angolo delle Foto, to which is added the collaboration of Enrico Duratorre who made his own photo studio available for this new project.
Concerts, events, theatrical performances from great classics to small authors, photographic exhibitions, installations, dance, creative workshops. All this in harmony and in perfect synergy with the territory, in a perfect amalgam, where the territory has become a living room.
