Turin hosts for the 30th year the Book Fair: 1,060 publishing houses, a program that has about 1,200 appointments spread over the 30 auditorium halls, ranging from 600 of the largest, the Yellow Room, to 20 of the didactic laboratories . Also on display is the area of Matera 2019, and three international stands of China, Romania and Morocco.

Life, worlds, ages. The books take you away. "We believe in the strength of books and we want to give concrete help in supporting its creation, dissemination and reading. We know that Lazio's publishing company, with more than 300 publishers, 1,200 employees, about 10,000 titles for a total of 9 million copies placed on the market each year, as well as a fundamental knowledge and free expression of ideas, even a great resource for the economy and for the job.

For this reason, we have launched so many innovative actions to support who creates and reads books, to be close to authors and publishers, and to help the libraries and cultural spaces of our region. We are also at this year's Salone del Libro in Turin with our stand, with numerous initiatives together with many good and courageous publishers, which we helped to be present thanks to an ad hoc contribution from the Lazio Region. In an era that consumes images, words and news at a swirling pace, we think that the book, depth, and variety of ideas it expresses has a central and irreplaceable role," said Nicola Zingaretti, President of the Lazio Region.

Nicola Zingaretti's words include Lidia Ravera, Councilor for Culture and Youth Policy: "An important birthday. As we always will, with two brothers stand (Marche and Umbria), the stands of the regions affected by the earthquake of August 24, 2016. And of the earthquake we will talk about. We will be with a handful of small publishers in Lazio.

We will present their younger, more promising authors. Their projects, their battles. We will also be in the big rooms, with a funny reading ("Where writers fall: the worst sex scenes and the most foolish children") and a very serious debate ("But politics is still a male club?"). We will be With inexhaustible enthusiasm and a lot more waiting for all the promised news. "

The Program of Interventions and Conferences organized by Regione Lazio and the Youth Culture and Youth Forum is packed with interesting initiatives and themes: for the complete program click here.
