Rome is acquiring, in spite of everything, an approach and a way to overcome difficulties and slowness, a more European and modern aspect for the approach and mentality of brave and talented young people to redevelop disused and forgotten spaces.
From TWM Factory, a cultural association that won the contest "100 Stories of Creativity 2018" promoted by Regione Lazio, Roma Smistamento was born. It’s a cultural association formed by boys and girls between 18 and 30 years that wants to discover, show and enhance the young excellence, supporting them and disseminating their work, with the aim of enhancing innovation and Italian quality in the world: architects, designers, photographers and all the artists who collaborate with each other.
With the project proposal presented to Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, Roma Smistamento was established in the former railway offices of the Rome's sorting freight station, in the Nuovo Salario area. This 300sqm hub is an open space for art and culture. It’s a space born with the ambitious intent to revive and give a new life to a practically abandoned building, regenerating it with the suggestive power of art and beauty, giving space to creativity, making it a place of convergence and divergence of ideas.
Architecture, Design, Photography, Music, Fashion, Cinema, Technology and Innovation meet through the organization of workshops, training and refresher courses, coworking environments, meeting room and poses. In the spaces of Rome Smistamento will host numerous creative hubs aimed at spreading the creative ferment of the territory and beyond.
Millennials have a place ready to welcome their ideas and make achievable their projects.
