Roma Creative Contest is Rome's International Short Film Festival. The aim of the contest is to provide young talents with a place for promotion, discussion and being connected with the most important players of Italian and foreign film production. The festival will be held in Rome from September 17 to 25.

Seventy short films from 25 different countries, 40 projections for the official competition, 20 Italian and 10 international premieres, workshops, conferences and meetings focused on creativity and digital cinema: this is the core of the initiative, promoted by a young team under 30s.

The mission of the festival resides in the attention devoted to the short film's industry, with the aim of stimulating new productions, conveying means and knowledge. The festival celebrates the authors bringing them in contact with the audience and with more affirmed subjects. The location chosen for the festival are: Teatro Vittoria, where short films attending the competition will be ployected, plus live performances and award ceremonies. The MAXXI will host the open day on September 17, the Screenplay Contest, master classes on directing, the films out of competition and workshops; the Ex Dogana in San Lorenzo will host workshops, concerts and exhibitions.

This is what Roma Creative Contest is but there is also much more to be discovered, since the initiative is an hotbed of constant research and experimentation, which accepts and renews the challenge against itself, pursuing an idea of planning based on cooperation, dialogue and growth.

This year there is a new competition for illustrators and designers called to offer their idea of the poster for the sixth edition under the slogan "Creative Power: an invitation to absolute creativity.

There are 13 awards over 6 sections (best Italian, foreign, animated, documentary, video clips, short train premium) for a total award of 50,000 euro. The President of the jury will be the director and producer Gabriele Mainetti, while Oscar winner Giuseppe Tornatore is elected as Honorary President.
