"Apollo Dionisiaco 2016” Award
The International Academy of Significatio, Poetry and Contemporary Art, in agreement with Università degli Studi Roma Tre and the sponsorship of ANCI and Roma Capitale, organizes the "Apollo Dionisiaco" International Award for Poetry and Contemporary Art, aimed to recognize the value of poems and works of visual art in painting, sculpture, graphics and photography by artists of every training and every age.
The award is divided into two category:
poems: submission of two poems of one's own creation, on any subject, published or unpublished, no more than thirty-six verses, in .doc format. Foreign language poems must include an Italian translation;
works of visual art: submission of two original works of painting, or sculpture, or graphic, or painting, on any subject, published or unpublished, measuring up to 100x140cm, submitted for the assessment in .jpg format.
The celebration of the third edition of the Award will take place on Saturday November, 26th, 2016 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at the Sala Aurea at the Excel Roma Montemario Hotel, Via Scolopi 31, Rome. Visual artists are invited to be at the venue by 3:00pm in order to set the winning works on display in the Sala Aurea during the ceremony.
There will be one first prize, one second prize, a third prize (Golden Trophy, Silver Trophy, Burnished Silver Trophy Apollo and Dionysus, original work of the architect and goldsmith Marco Rocchi, from an original drawing of Fulvia Minetti, from the highest quality and hand made in the Laboratorio Orafo Rocchi in Via Margutta in Rome), the Academy Diploma, signification of the work and publication of the winner with on the Academy website) and special awards and High Awards of Merit for all the categories.
