Portuense201 is a cultural and creative district established in the district of the former Vaccheria Riccioni built around 1910. Behind the Trastevere station, Portuense201 is located between Testaccio and the former industrial area of Ostiense, in line with the idea of recovery that has affected the abandoned areas of Rome once suspended between the countryside and factories, which now includes many new realities of international importance. Thanks to the will of the heirs Riccioni, the complex has been completely renovated paying special attention to the existing architecture, allocating space for a new cultural project: from the farmer context of the early '900 to mid-century craft laboratories, they are now loft and creative studios which create the third phase of life of the complex. A sort of "spread studio" where realities of different nature and entities meet and interact: from art to architecture, from design to crafts and restoration workshops, cinema and the innovative startups, graphic communication. Many different realities with the same desire to share new experiences and projects, in order to offer professionalism and experience in every field. In spring, a series of courses and workshops taught by professionals Portuense201 will be launched on specific subjects in order to expand the offer and the activities of the district.
