Outdoor Festival 2018 | 5 weekends of Art, Music, Conferences, Television and Market at the Testaccio Mattatoio

Born in 2010 with the intention of contributing to the change of the social fabric of the city through cultural actions, the Outdoor project returns with the eighth edition of the Festival now known in the capital in a completely new and different immersive artistic journey.

In the 2018 edition, the spectator will be at the center of the exhibition, thus becoming the protagonist of the artistic experience. The theme of the exhibition is Heritage? and it will develop on three paths: the spectator will be able to choose which one to follow, because everyone is the architect of their own heritage. Unexpected elements, perceptive and completely unexpected alterations between sounds and colors in continuous evolution for an interactive and engaging experience.

Studio 1 of the Factory-Pelanda will become a temporary club where the shape of the sound wave will be transformed into a complex dynamic geometry: an emotional wave that will envelop the viewer dragging him into a universe of lights, sounds, shapes and colors. Music and visual will merge together for a unique show: you will dance under a sky of lights to live a visual and musical experience ever seen in Rome.

With Television we want to investigate our heritage through the history of Rai and its most important programs that have contributed to shaping our contemporary society, and the appointments scheduled for Sundays will be divided between national and specific in-depth analysis. The target? To tell a part of the national history to return it to an audience that has seen "live" those programs and the next generation.

The Friday Outdoor Festival will host a series of conferences that will tell the New Languages. The talks in the program will investigate aspects of cultural heritage and language, analyzing their evolution through the testimonies of guests from seemingly distant backgrounds and extractions, telling different experiences to show how a concept can be explored and investigated from multiple perspectives and with different expressive ways.

To conclude, the Wave Market in a special and completely new version: unlike the classic editions, where the exhibition categories are concentrated in a single event, with Wave Market Fair the market will be decomposed into a market with thematic events to offer a vision wider than each category to visitors.
