OFFICINA DELLE ARTI PIER PAOLO PASOLINI
" For these reasons you should know that in the instruction I shall impart to you there is not the least doubt that I shall push you towards every possible deconsecration, towards a lack of respect for all institutionalized feeling. Yet the basis of my teaching will consist in persuading you not to fear a sense of the sacred and of those feelings which consumerist secularity has deprived men of, thereby transforming them into ugly and stupid automatons that worship fetishes." (Lutheran Letters)
This is the Officina manifesto, where Pasolini is considered as a complex intellectual, prolific in many creative fields, and an artist descended into the world. He is therefore a source of inspiration for interdisciplinary exchange and shows how the artist, in his search for inspiration, shall do an honest work to freely and consciously express himself. The Lazio region has launched the Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini in Rome, an innovative Advance Training Lab for theatre, music (song) and multimedia.
It is an arts and crafts lab, whose mission is to train professional experts through theoretical lessons, practice exercises, seminars and experimental workshops. Officina Pasolini aims at providing an advanced training experience, by organizing also meetings and masterclasses with artists and famous professionals, by giving students the possibility to experiment and to exhibit in professional contexts. Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini is divided into three sections: theatre, coordinated by Massimo Venturiello, song, coordinated by Tosca and multimedia, coordinated by Simona Banchi. Through the study of specific subjects, students are trained by highly skilled teachers, who prepare them for entering the labour market. The target group of the project is young Italian and non-Italian (with regular permit of stay) graduates (with a high school diploma) and participation is completely free. Training activities are organized and monitored by a Scientific Technical Committee , whose honorary President is Franca Valeri.
