nèaPOLIS is a cultural association founded in Rome in 2010, headed by Claudio Napoli, aimed at actively promoting culture within the territory through cultural and communication projects. The neaPOLIS monthly magazine and the www.neapolisroma.it online newspaper, enrolled in the Court of Rome and managed by Elio Tomassetti, were born first, and deal with the cultural and social aspects of the municipality of Rome. The Roma Nascosta project, managed by Cristian Compagnoni, was launched in 2013 with the aim of spreading culture and art by promoting guided cheap tours of the city’s hidden treasures and organising successful art and photography exhibitions.
The experience gained in the field of communication has enabled the team to develop a peculiar way of working, which the Lazio Region awarded with the “Una rivista di giovani per i giovani” project, which was admitted to the loan under the creativity announcement. The project’s goals include the creation of an editorial staff composed of young people aged 35 or less able to learn communication techniques and create cultural contents. The team will publish two original volumes entitled “Roma Nascosta” (Hidden Rome), containing more than 100 pages full of pictures and reviews of the most beautiful hidden places in Rome. The project, which consists of monthly meetings with experts, will take place in Studio Cappelli, in viale Trastevere 152, and will include the possibility of participating in a training course.
