Mythologica | of the Greek and the Romans
The Archaeological Park of the Colosseum and Electa Editore promote and organize a series of conferences by Maurizio Bettini in the renewed Curia Iulia at the Roman Forum.

The lectures will revive the myths - the Mythological of the Greeks and Romans - together as stories and as images, as stories to be heard and seen but, at the same time, as models of culture, from which to bring out customs and beliefs that we believe to be to have forgotten.

The initiative explores the metamorphosis of these ancient stories dealing each of them in a meeting held by two experts. In the first part, scholars of the classical world narrate the history of myth and explain its cultural significance, in the second part the words of an art historian, a writer, a director or a singer-songwriter show the various articulations, readjustments and the fortune that the ancient story has acquired over the centuries.
