Musica contro le mafie 2018
Musica contro le mafie is an association of the Libera network that for years, through music and musicians, carries out a commitment not only "against" the mafias, corruption, crime phenomena and those who feed them, but deeply "for": for social justice, for the search for truth, for the protection of rights, for a transparent politics, for a democratic legality based on equality, for a living and shared memory, for an active and responsible citizenship.
Promoting, developing and spreading the culture of "legality" through activities related to the world of entertainment and artists operating all over the world. Promoting cultural initiatives aimed at strengthening a civil and democratic conscience through all useful activities to develop a real knowledge of the mafia phenomenon, promoting activities within schools, neighborhoods and in numerous contexts. Coordinating initiatives aimed at raising funds for disadvantaged people, young people at risk in complex areas and urban outskirts.
This is why the Associazione Musica contro le mafie Association is organizing this year the National Award "Musica contro le mafie"; which was judged to be the most important European music award dedicated to music with social issues and in particular to the anti-mafia commitment, thus arriving at its ninth edition. The competition is open to all the artists who, through their own compositions, tell a positive message capable of preserving memory, transformed by the communicative power of music into an "active, critical and responsible" commitment and citizenship, where the songs become the way to spread a cultural model to be opposed to the mafia.
Participation is easy, until November 5th you can access the official portal of the competition and upload your own song. The Winner Tour Prize will be awarded for the winner: € 15,000 for the organization of a concert tour.
The other prizes to be won will be the Special Award "Light up your path - Under 35", with a scholarship or production for artists and authors under 35, or the 'May First Special Prize in Rome', which will allow to directly access the final stages of the 1m Next contest, the only access door for the May Day Rome stage. And again, the Special Mention of the Tenco Club, thanks to which the winner will be able to show at the Club's headquarters in Sanremo but also many other production or study grants and prestigious awards made available by the various partners of the competition. The 'Musica contro le mafie' award will start in November with a first phase of popular judgment via Facebook with three different juries (social, student and technical) that will establish the ten finalists who will perform live in the national finals of Cosenza in December .https://www.musicacontrolemafie.it/9edizione/
