The "Mosaici Pastore" wooden mosaic school has been active since 1988. It was born from the need of Maestro Raffaele to share his experience with the new generations to bring the students closer to the knowledge of the raw material he loved, that’s wood.
The School offers wooden, stone and pyrography mosaic courses with weekly openings from 7 years upwards, and then for children, young people and adults. The works carried out during the courses are property of the students, who have the opportunity to make objects for themselves, gift ideas, favors, accessories and furnishing objects.
The passion for wood has determined the artistic evolution of Raffaele Pastore, born from artistic craftsmanship, with the production of interior furniture with mosaic inserts. His activity has further evolved with the creation of works using the wooden mosaic technique.
Member of the Provincial Directorate CNA Latina and Delegate for CNA Regional Artistic Craftsmanship, since 1999 he has also started a collaboration with several secondary schools in the framework of the school project "Manual skills in schools".
This project aims at bringing students closer to the knowledge of wood and the art of mosaic, through the creation of different furnishing objects: photo frames, trays, wall clocks, chess boards, etc., to then move on to the first works art.
