Perhaps because she grew up in the Brazilian countryside, surrounded by greenery that stays green all year round, at a certain point Michele Ropelato opened her own architectural design firm, focusing on interior design and gardens, a perfect site for anyone wanting to design and create their own ideal garden. Michele is now 34 years old, and lives in Cassino. She studied architecture in Brazil before coming to Italy and continuing to study, attending the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) in Rome.
In order to work with her great passion, in 2014 she created “Rops”, which is literally an online “emotional configurator” of gardens. On her site the user can choose the characteristics that most closely match his or her idea of a natural oasis, retrieving them from adatabase full of possibilities. Then he or she relies on Michele for the design and creation of the garden space. Should you want a place to relax or a vegetable garden, Michele Ropelato will help you to imagine and create the atmosphere you
are dreaming of. To do so, the garden designer collaborates with experienced professionals from all over Italy, so following closely and as best all stages of every project. Michele is thus putting nature and architecture together with dedication and imagination, creating natural and pleasant green spaces, meeting people’s real needs, and transforming even tiny spaces that you would never dream could be turned into gardens. We should all have a garden, so that we can appreciate the change of seasons.
“The garden is alive, it grows and changes with the rhythms of the year”, she says, “because in Italy there is the beauty of the four seasons, which change the surrounding landscape”, and then she bursts out laughing.
