CREATIVE&TEChNO MEDIA ART FESTIVAL
What happens if a creative community of digital artists, inventors and explorers shares their jobs and prototypes developed with the most innovative tools with young talents? They gather in the Media Art Festival, a format–workshop for production which has been already successfully tested in several European countries and now is at its second edition in Italy. The news is that the project promoted by Fondazione Mondo Digitale is about to start: the event is scheduled in Rome from April 13 to 17.
Five days of new artistic and technological concept
During the five days of the event, a set of projects and innovative ideas about art and new technological concepts will invade the capital. The projects have been developed by several artists who have worked with 12 Italian schools in Rome, Milan and Naples for several months; a meeting between the north, centre and south of Italy to jointly build a digital art project. The results of these works will be exhibited at MAXXI during the days of the festival, where the winning work will also be proclaimed. MAXXI will be one of the venues hosting the event along with other locations, including the Goethe Institute, the Innovation Gym, the Embassy of Chile and the University of Fine Art Rufa.
What to expect from the Media Art Festival
Among the events, art meetings, workshops, conferences with international experts, guided tours and much more, technology will be the main player of the event; for this edition, the project teamed with BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas and the Fondazione MAXXI, together with the patronage of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture and Tourism. The festival wants to serve as a gym where every mind is at the service of the most modern forms of art.
New ideas for new opportunities
This event encourages creative ideas to turn into something real like tangible and innovative projects: the work developed wont be only exhibited, but will be the prototype of new technology products to be assessed and considered for its further production.
