Max&Jò Barber Shop
In the central Piazza Campo de’ Fiori, since a quarter-century, Max&Jò Barber Shop creates charming shavings. The shop is placed in Via dei Cartari and it’s love at first sight: suddenly we are in the Fifties, in one of those characteristic barber shops appearing in vintage movies. The determined colours of furniture and the velvety wall fuse together, while the warm light of the typical lamps welcome clients on comfortable intense red armchairs. Talent, irrepressible desire to creating, flair and the vocation in his bones: these are the ingredients that inspired a 19 year old Max to run a business in 1990. This project solidified in 2014 when he pumped into Jò and that gave birth to the famous Roman barber shop.
In few time the two boys became a sort of benchmark for boys coming from suburbs, who loved to take care of their look and style. Since then it’s been a long time. Now Max&Jò Barber Shop is the benchmark for people who want to escape from daily routine to seek refuge in some hour wellness: here you can relax, shoot the breeze, pamper yourself with treatments that will keep you company to another dimension, let yourself be carried away by the perfume of an original Italian barber shop. The protagonists of this attractive vintage suggestion, together with Max & Jò, are Tony, Cris, Mirko and Pigi, who make their talent available to gentlemen.
Their ability to analyse every character and hair is useful to create authentic works of art. These expert boys take care of their clients since from the beginning: from the healthy hot towel treatment to the particular hair tattoo, without omitting the everlasting e well-knows cosmetics used for every type of hair and beard. There are only two ingredients: barbers and scissors, that aren’t only an objects; they are kind ladies that every day have been cleaned, placed, cuddled and prepared for the following haircut…
