100 thousand square meters, hundreds of projects and six halls to host the world's best innovation: the next Maker Faire Rome, the international event dedicated to the digital craftsmanship world and innovation, will take place from 14 to 16 October at the Nuova Fiera di Roma.
 
Walking through the 55,000 square meters of the exhibiting space you will see the first magnetic Wakeskate, eat in the Restaurant of the Future, run into the big robot of the Big Bang Project, get lost in the giant aviary of the House of Drones or kids play area, almost doubled compared to last year and able to accommodate educational activities for 12,000 children.
 
The next Maker Faire will host not only makers and technology enthusiasts but also 40 among universities and research centers, including the National Research Council (CNR), the University of Rome, the University of Beijing and the German University of Coburg, and 56 schools exhibiting projects and prototypes developed by their students.
 
The city of Rome is confirmed as propulsive center of new ideas, content and business models at European level for the fourth year: over 400 projects selected from over 1,200 submitted to the only Call for Makers from more than 65 countries including Germany, Spain and Greece, but also the United Kingdom, Turkey, China and the United States, Singapore, UAE, Taiwan.
 
At Maker Faire Rome you can "touch" the work and the power of ideas to be able to generate new production models based on variety and customization of products. A real example are the 50 projects from the Call for New Manufacturing combining craft skills and new technologies from the most advanced manufacturing sector.
 
The program also includes hundreds of conferences, seminars and training workshops on current topics such as home automation, drones and robotics, 3D printing, 4.0 industry, IoT - Internet of things, credit, technology applied to transportation, food and music. The Maker Faire Rome also offers a series of demo-workshops or tutorial courses on the application of digital manufacturing for handicrafts.
 
The Maker Faire Rome 'is a true celebration of those who "try" to do something in all fields, based on the conviction that innovation is a great collective effort of experimentation and building the future. The event aims to give visibility to the energy of those who embark on its own entrepreneurial path, and who wants to share the result of their efforts.
