Today's master blacksmiths
Angelo Pieracci comes from a family of master blacksmiths. Both his grandfather and father did the same job and he represents the third generation doing the same work. The love for iron and for its transformation merges with the most distant childhood memories. He learned the secrets of the trade from his father Giulio, especially abouth the forge, which has become a rarity. Through these teachings, Angelo Pieracci manages to combine tradition and innovation, in the continuous search for elegance. His lab is surrounded by the countryside of Vetralla where he designs, thinks, makes the customers' desires real, breaking down the obstacles and difficulties that may hinder the final realization.
Once the project paper is designed, the iron is shapedaccording to the needs and transformed into lamps, beds, ladders, gates and so on. Angelo Pieracci is also very interested in ancient decoration working with designers in the renovation of old houses and castles, producing armorsa or grates in medieval style. To him it is important the lightness to ensure that a strong material as iron can have through the wise use of tools, creating enveloping, sinuous and incredibly light forms.
