«Niente panico (No panic) was born almost by chance, about a year ago...» Luca tells me sincerely. «At the last moment I found myself alone in a show, and I had to manage the lack of an actor… how? Counting on myself, the one and only resource left to me. I thus found myself having to write about an hour of acting in just 5 days. Then, a short time afterwards, around last spring, I reread what I had written, and I thought that it wasn’t that bad, and that I could extend it into another different project: this is how Niente panico was created».
The show focuses on a person’s withdrawal from life, from daily routine and from intimate experiences. He takes refuge in his home, growing ill from a real abandonment syndrome. Nothing seems to make any sense for him, nothing excites him or even distracts him from the asphyxiating curtain of his injured ego. All this was reflected by his flow of conscience, moving between desperation and comedy, between acute sensitivity and the almost irrational liberation of laughter. «I see theatre as a context to be created and continued in a group, a community to share with several thinking souls», says Luca. «For Niente panico, on the one hand I had the awareness of having acted in a partly different way, and on the other that I had never truly been alone. Some musicians accompanied me and generally, I felt the spirit of a community alongside what I say and do, and I still feel it close to me now».
A spirit that, as the performed story, is suited to everyone, even the very young.
