Tatiana Scalercio started the study of classical violin at the Regional Center for Professional Education "Nicola De Bonis" in Bisignano (CS). There, under the guidance of the Masters Carletti e Coverati Amati, she obtained her diploma in Lutherie.
Later, she also had the opportunity to attend the workshops of her Masters, thus deepening the constructive method of string chordophones according to some of the main classical Italian schools: Cremona, Naples, Tuscany, Bologna. Her artistic passion has led her over the years to perfect herself in the restoration of arched instruments and graduate in Etnomusicology at the Unversità "La Sapienza" in Rome. She has valuable collaborations with major industry centers such as London's Atelier Bridgewood & Neitzwer and the Indian Music Center Saraswati House in Assisi.
The luthier Tatiana Scalercio mainly deals with the construction, reparation, restoration and tuning of string, pinch and pick instruments. In her laboratory, she also organizes and holds lute courses. In 2014 she had been included among the most important artisans in the publication "Repertory of Roman Excellences".
