On March 1, at the Library of Viterbo, the sixth edition of Librimmaginari will be held, a project to promote reading and quality illustrated book. The project was born in 2010 by Marco Trulli and Marcella Brancaforte in collaboration with ARCI Viterbo.
Librimmaginari is a multidisciplinary project that combines education for children and training for adults through workshops and interactive guide to personal and collective exhibition projects. The project proposes every year shows of both well-known and emerging illustrators with relevant drawing and a collective final exhibition workshop.
The main objective of Librimmaginari is to develop a plan to promote reading thorugh the involvement of the main educational agencies of the territory and is able to activate new readers and new operators. The theme chosen for this year is the forest and relationships with wild declined in literature, metaphorical vision of the place of the loss and the unknown, overturned universe. Librimmaginari involves publishers, artists and national associations to develop a local cooperation model that promotes reading through creativity and imagination.
The first event is scheduled for March 5 in Viterbo with a show of bunraku puppets and animated templates. It will continue until the middle of June with a full calendar of events, lectures and workshops. Starting from May 27 until June 5 will, however, possible to visit the collective drawing exhibition and illustration "Walden. The wild vibration" in Via delle Piagge 23, Viterbo.
