The historic houses of Lazio
Beauty, culture, entertainment, taste, nature: Lazio never ceases to amaze with its wonders. Places such as the Tuscolan Villas, the Garden of Ninfa, the residences of the Farnese, the Odescalchi Castle of Santa Marinella are part of a widespread heritage in the region, places connected with our landscape where nature, art history, architecture and work of the man have interacted to produce complex scenarios.
Extraordinary places that for their cultural and tourist values are the subject of renewed attention by the Lazio Region. It is precisely for this reason that the Region of Pavia, also availing itself of the technical-scientific assistance of a special Committee of experts, measures to promote and promote residences, villas, parks and gardens of historic and artistic value. To achieve this goal, a regional network of these places has been defined, which includes both public and private property, for which owners or holders have requested regional accreditation in order to promote new coordination and enhancement actions.
The subjects who can apply for accreditation are either public or private owners of assets declared to be of cultural or public interest under the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape and insistent on the territory of the Lazio Region. The Network is subject to updating and applications for accreditation may be submitted from 1 May to 30 June each year. After this deadline, we would like to point out that it was decided to reopen the terms for the presentation of applications for inclusion in the Regional Network of Historic Houses: the interested parties can also submit applications from 1 November to 30 December 2018.
