Più libri più liberi is the national fair of small and medium publishers held in Rome from 7 to 11 December, at Palazzo dei Congressi and attended by the Lazio Region.
The event, now at its fifteenth year, will be attended by the Lazio Region with its own stand, where book presentations, innovative projects in the publishing field will be held, small and medium enterprises "who are bent on producing" books passionately and that the Region supports within an economic stimulus, thanks to its presence of this sector in its territory (in Lazio are over 300 publishing companies employing more than 1200 people).
The publishing industry, as well as being a valuable field for its economic potential, represents an enormous wealth of ideas, worldviews and perspectives, produces social, economic and cultural growth; the promotion of reading is one of the objectives considered as an indispensable tool of freedom and social growth.
Along with the stand, the Lazio Region will attend the fair with Lidia Ravera, Head of Culture and Youth Policy, Guido Fabiani, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Production activities and other institutional representatives and cultural figures, will offer four themed events and meeting with the public of enthusiasts to read, for presenting the projects and the results of the development of heritage and cultural services in the territory, will open reflections on the value of writing, of social interest, the Book Fair.
The first events will be on December 7, with the meeting One year books. The Lazio region for reading, starting at 13.
The Lazio Region will continue to support the initiative even after December 11, with a series of meetings and presentations in libraries around the country.
