Zaha Hadid's Italy | On of the most influential and visionary architects of our time
One year after her sudden death, MAXXI has dedicated an exhibition to Zaha Hadid. The exhibition is aimet at highlighting her intense and productive relationship with our country, presenting the projects and the works made through various tools of representation, research and experimentation she has developed during her career: from the pictorial and conceptual sketches to the three-dimensional models, from virtual representations to the most recent interdisciplinary studies.

The exhibition presents a portrait of the multifaceted personality of Hadid, developing a path from those architectural projects created or designed for Italy till design. The gaze of Hélène Binet, one of the most attentive photographers of her production over the years, interprets the strength and dynamism of architecture with a series of intense photographs that bring back unprecedented details of Zaha Hadid's works.
The constant push for an interdisciplinary research of new design methods is also presented in the sections dedicated to the CoDe (Computational Design) and the ZHA Design DNA, a window on the creative legacy that the study has fully collected, because, paraphrasing Zaha Hadid, the experimentation knows no end.

In addition to the Italian projects that make up the backbone of the exhibition, there is a selection of other works that represented a significant step in the evolution of Zaha Hadid's language and architectural research, from the beginnings to the latest achievements still in progress. In this evolution, Italian projects have often represented a turning point towards new horizons of research and experimentation. MAXXI is the clearest proof of this.
