«I was always a curious child, who loved using her imagination. My grandmother played a very important role in my personal and professional development. Thanks to her, I began to transform my ideas into projects and projects into reality, working with my hands».
To get here, Irma has walked a long, varied path. A graduate of architecture, she has also studied design, painting and sculpture. She has worked at Maison Fendi and, blown away by the world of haute couture, she decided to embrace it and make a career out of it. She was helped in this choice by her untamed imagination, her grandmother’s teachings and the penetrating odour of the leather at Maison Fendi that accompanied her everyday along the stairs, before entering the office.
«Architecture and fashion are imagination, balance and colour. In my opinion they are two very close worlds. I think that the project approach is the same in both sectors. A good architect, like a good fashion designer, works with creativity and method, combining artisan skills with top quality materials. Made in Italy, Italian expertise and care for details are a precious resource, both in architecture and in fashion that is important to exalt in every project».
Determined and convinced of her ideas, Irma Cipolletta has created a brand that is the result of a true creative syncretism. Fashion, design and architecture merge into a new product that expresses all the creator’s enthusiasm for experimenting with volumes and materials. Her bags are created starting from the assumption that each of them must be ready to contain a world full of daily routine, dreams and desires, similar in some ways to a house, as «the bag and house are a woman’s intimate worlds. Both enclose dreams and expectations for the future, but also a story about her past. Both are a refuge».
