International Circus Festival
The International Circus Festival of Italy was born from the will of its late creator, Giulio Montico, already an experienced artist in many European circuses. His tenacity, together with the enthusiasm and energy that only the members of a large and united family can give each other, as it is in the case of the Montico, have meant that, in Italy, it could take shape not a traveling show, not a cliché already tested, but something unique, able to assign to the Circus world and to each of its disciplines, that dignity and authority that only an extraordinary event could have attributed
The International Circus Festival of Italy will take place in Latina from 18 to 22 October 2018: the first three days (from Monday to Wednesday) are dedicated to rehearsals, while those for the shows are five (from Thursday to Monday). The artists in the competition are divided into two groups and perform once a day in front of an "International Technical Jury" composed by the owners or by the heads of the most important circuses, entertainment agencies, world circus academies and by clear exponents. fame in the different areas of the live show.
In the succession of the days the Jury makes a selection of the best numbers in competition and prepares the list of artists admitted to participate in the final evening of Monday at the end of which the prizes are awarded. The parameters that are taken into consideration for evaluation purposes are: the originality of the performance, the choreography, the technical quality and the degree of difficulty. The prizes awarded, except in the case of ex aequo, are a "Latina d'Oro", two "Latina d'Argento" and three "Latina di Bronzo". A further international jury, composed of representatives of communication, general and industry press and well-known exponents in the various areas of live entertainment, assigns the special prize of the critics.
The "Circus Citadel" set up in Latina on the occasion of the International Circus Festival of Italy is an impressive display entirely made with tensostructures: in addition to a luxurious Chapiteau equipped with the most advanced technologies for the best performance of shows, there is a Foyer that welcomes artists and guests, a press room for communication organs, a restaurant, an impressive backstage and recreation and living areas.
