Inside Out Contemporary Dance is an ambitious project that envisions several individual and participatory culture initiatives, aimed at providing unusual opportunities for the performance of the performative event.
Through the presentation of company repertoire shows, workshops, residences and the sharing of work processes linked to the creations of the young students of the Corso Triennio Professional of Contemporary Dance directed by Roberto Casarotto, teachers, choreographers, dancers and cultural mediators - already operating all the Balletto interior of Rome - will provide tools for understanding and elaborating contemporary themes, dancing in relation to other arts, with a focus on a heterogeneous audience, even those who are not in charge of the work. Priority will be the development of a "pre-performative" approach, which involves involvement in the pre-performative stage.
In addition to the presentation of the shows, it will be possible to open the door to the on-site observation of the activity of the Professional Triennial Course of Contemporary Dance. Inside Out Contemporary Dance provides a special focus on the creative process and on the basic mechanisms that animate the lessons of this course, according to a logic that is in line with the best European academies that involve dancers in paths guided by well-known choreographers, but also opening the vision to the participants so they can assist in the creation and staging of unpublished works.
The course will, in fact, show all the contemporary repertoire created in the last season, including: Heroes, a scenic project by Pablo Tapya Leyton, and We Are Not Alone, an experimental work by young choreographer Davide Valrosso.
