The child and the snow | Banksy denounces pollution

The latest work by Banksy, the street artist reknown for his political and social denunciations, is called Season's Greetings and is a stencil made in Port Talbot, South Wales. Appeared during December, 2018, the image was painted on both sides of a garage and depicts a child or open-mouthed girl enjoying snow falling on one side, while the other reveals it is a fire emitting ash.

The artist would have claimed the authorship of the work on Instagram and it seems that it was precisely through the popular social network that Banksy received the request to carry out a work of denunciation by a local resident. Gary Owen, 55, would have contacted Banksy during last August to highlight the pollution problem at Port Talbot caused by the city's industrial heritage and in this case by the nearby steel factories owned by TATA.
