The neighborhoods of Rome
The 6th edition of the contest for short films has been launched. The central theme is Rome with its neighborhoods. L’Isola del Cinema has organized a short film contest for movie lovers who want to get closer to the audiovisual world with by the direction of a short film. “Mamma Roma e i suoi quartieri” is an event of the Isola del Cinema, that’s a cinematic and cultural festival held on the Tiberina Island. The festival has arrived at its 21st edition, that will took place from June to the first week of September.
The contest is addressed to video-makers of all ages and backgrounds, as long as they are of age. Approved works can have a documentary cut or tell a story of fiction that has the background regarding the chosen neighbourhood. Works should last between 3 and 5 minutes. Video media can also be made with new digital technologies (smartphones, reflexes, gopro, etc.). The “Mamma Roma e in suoi quartieri” Prize will be given to the short film that will best describe the social and multi-ethnic reality of a Roman district.
The short winner will be honoured with a cash prize of 1,000 euros. In addition, there will be another two special prizes of the Jury with a celebration plaque and also a prize chosen by the audience. To participate, you must send the link of the video - uploaded to Vimeo or Youtube - and the password to the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org by 15 August 2017. The e-mail must be enclosed with the registration form and the duly completed disclaimer written in block letters.
