FabLab Roma Makers
Roma Makers is an A.P.S. (Social Promotion Association), formally founded in 2013, which brings together one of the most active communities of makers from Rome. After some years working in the Italian and international maker movement sphere, and organizing numerous events at the main local makerspaces and coworking spaces, a firm decision was made to adopt self-financing in order to open the first FabLab in the capital with the aim of providing the Rome area with a permanent space to encourage and inspire the culture of digital fabrication and make available to artisans and businesses throughout the Lazio Region the principles of technological innovation using the Open Source and Sharing Economy paradigms. The association is involved in numerous projects of training and support in the STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) for children, students, professionals, artisans, entrepreneurs and citizens of all ages. The FabLab works on different themes and has equipment, tools and machinery that can support most of the needs that arise in the prototyping and development of artistic and technological creations.
