Fabfeb, a laboratory equipped according to the standards established by the Fab Foundation, has been added to the Fab Lab network. As other labs, Fabfeb also offers prototyping and manufacturing capabilities to support most standard projects.
The FabFeb is located in Rome inside the IC Falcone e Borsellino in via Giovanni da Procida 16 in the Piazza Bologna area. The Fab Lab was created thanks to the collaboration between the host school, which was awarded MIUR funding for the creation of a Creative Atelier and the APS Officine Roma Makers who co-financed the project contributing to the design and fitting out.
In the laboratory there are all the technologies provided by the standards of the Fab Foundation including: 3D Printing, CNC Plotter, Laser Cutting, Electronics (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Microbit), Robotics.
The planned activities concern both the Minimakers courses for young people and workshops and courses for all categories of public. The training offer is differentiated and aimed at all age groups and professional categories. Course planning ranges from free introductory events to high vocational training.
Starting from 2017/2018 season, the teaching schedule takes into account the needs in terms of demand for new skills expressed by our partner companies and by the main business associations with particular reference to CNA.
During extra-school hours Fab Lab is accessible to Roma Makers members according to the usual methods of the Fablab Roma network.
