February 12, 2017 is the deadline of the call for participation in the project Erasmus Plus Yes Cultures, where the XI Mountain Community of the Castelli Romani and Prenestini is the leader among the partner organizations. The project is dedicated to youth participation and the protection of heritage and the different activities planned, offering the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange. "YES Culture": 12 young Italians aged between 18 and 30 will have the opportunity to meet other young people from participating countries (Portugal, United Kingdom, Romania), in a meeting to be held on Friday 17 March to Monday, March 27, 2017 in Zagarolo (RM).

Participants will exchange ideas, meet and gain knowledge and awareness of different socio-cultural realities. The main activities of the project "YES Cultures" will be developed in the area of ​​Tusculum Archaeological Cultural Park near the capital to promote the participation of young people in cultural life, both locally and across borders, in order to explore a part of the rich cultural heritage of the area and interested to know more about the history and traditions.

The program will provide a real opportunity for participants to discuss the role of youth in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage and on the current challenges and challenges to belonging to the same process of European integration with regard to access to culture and youth participation at local and transnational level.

The proposed activities will have the ultimate objective to strengthen in young people the sense of belonging to a European citizenship, making them more active in building an inclusive Europe. As part of the exchange program, on March 25 the participants will also have the opportunity to take part in some of the celebrations organized in Rome on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome, considered one of the most significant historic moments of the European integration process.

The project is funded by the European program Erasmus + | Youth. For all participants selected for the European cultural exchange "YES Cultures", the board and lodging expenses will be fully covered by the organization leading the project.
