An ambitious forward-looking project has been proposed in Terracina by the startup called “Dictum Factum”, one of the winners of the regional Creativity Fund call for ideas. In a world increasingly dominated by digital, it is crucial to invest in sophisticated and specialist contents and technologies. By using specific visors (Homido, OculusRift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR and PlayStation VR Cardboard), virtual immersive reality is already here, and is able to overlap, interact and integrate with our normal perceptions. 3D is growing exponentially, in a number of areas: photography, theatre, cinema, sport, tourism and medical research. “Dictum Factum” aspires to become the first qualified Immersive Communication Company (ICC) as regards the construction and transcoding of multimedia contents for virtual reality worlds, incentivising new ways of digital storytelling. The natator (swimmer) will participate directly in the creation and evolution of his sensory experience through an interface in which the perceptive component (visual, tactile, kinaesthetic) is combined with interactivity. “Dictum Factum” thus sets out to be an innovative agency that can be useful for all those engaged in immersive technologies but that have cognitive and technical shortcomings. The first step will be to launch in Italy the first immersive musical clip of a well-known artist. Other plans in the pipeline are the production of an English course using virtual reality and the organisation of an immersive conference.
